Food

If you know me....you know I know food. So that being said I love to try new recipes. One I loved the other day was a quiche I did with a "crust" made of sweet potatoes.  It looked something like this..
You take the sweet potatoes and  slice and bake them in the pan...then simply do a quiche on top of it. I think it was wonderful...and you could use that crust thing for other things too.

The other week I made redneck sushi for a friend of mines birthday. You take bacon, seasoned meat of sausage and cheese and roll it up into a log of goodness. Be sure to use buttrub and bbq sauce on the top....Italian sausage or seasoned beef work equally well. Cook it slow over indirect heat for about 1:30 to 2 hours til is good and done.

And last but not least I was in a cabbage mood....nothing better than steamed cabbage and meat.

Food for thought

I have seriously thought about starting a blog about food. I mean...if you follow me on instagram or facebook I will make you hungry.  I thought about a potato chip blog, since they are like crack to me. But I figured I would stick to good food for the time being. Here are some pics. Let me know what you think.

And we have not even scratched the surface of my food madness... :)

Atlanta restaurant I just tried...

Just got back from Atl and got to try out two new resturants. The first was Rathburns steak house. Atmosphere was good. Quiet...we went with a party of about 8. I tried the Ahi pad Thai..nice noodles with a little heat topped with about 10 oz of tuna..rare..lovely and flavorfull. We ordered the habanero rock shrimp for a starter...on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it an 8..very nice.
The next night we went to Sotto Sotto...nice northern style Italian...no red sauce and chicken parm here. Almost like mediteranian style cooking...lotta oil and vinegar. The Taste of Italy thing they do is great. 6 courses and I was so very full. My fav dish of the feast...the raviolli...stuffed with chicken, veal and pork sasauge...served with a fresh sage n butter sauce...yes...I would go back to get some of that stufff....lol
A 9.5 on a 10 scale...a must try!

food..

Food..comfort food, odd food, spicy food...overall makes you feel good. It begs to be eaten with friends and is the source good conversation. I believe the God gave us the desire to eat with one another so we would learn from one another. I honestly thing if I quit being an IT guy I could be a chef.
I think I will link my blog to my fb and use it to log my foodiverse (world of food I experience). Maybe....well if I do...feel free to comment.
